INTRODUCTION

In June 2014, Hyderabad -based non-governmental organization (NGO) Passionate Foundation , launched a campaign called ‘Teach for Change’ to improve the overall literacy standards in government schools in India and to deliver quality education with a focus on leadership in these schools. As part of the campaign, volunteers were invited to teach leadership and English at the primary and high school levels in the government schools. Talking about the objective of the campaign, Chaitanya M. R. S. K., (Chaitanya), founder and CEO of Teach for Change, said, “Started in 2014 the program covered ten schools this year and we are now launching Teach For Change 2015 for 100 schools in Hyderabad in partnership with Government of Telangana and making it one of India’s largest educational movements.”...
